Privacy Policy

SkateFM is run by QuantiphAi LLC (“we”). This policy explains what the SkateFM iPhone app, the SkateFM Live Mac app and skatefm.com collect, and why. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads and we don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Listening without an account

You can play the free station without signing in. Our server sees the technical details any web server sees (IP address, device type) to deliver the stream and to count listeners; we don’t link this to you.

Your SkateFM account

Accounts use Sign in with Apple. We receive a private identifier from Apple and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address (Apple lets you hide your email). We store:

• your account identifier, display name, username and email (if shared);
• anything you add to your profile (photo, city, links);
• the stations you subscribe to and the DJs you follow;
• requests you send for DJ or rink access.

Chat

When a DJ is live and has chat switched on, you can message that DJ privately. Your messages are stored on our server and are seen only by you and the DJ (and our admins when handling abuse reports). DJs can delete messages and block listeners from chat.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store your device’s push token to send alerts you asked for (for example when a DJ you follow goes live, or when your subscription is approved). You can turn these off in the app or in iPhone Settings.

DJs

DJ accounts also store their uploaded music files, playlists, station settings, recordings of their live shows, profile details they choose to publish and, while live, the audio and optional camera video they broadcast.

How we use it

Only to run SkateFM: signing you in, playing stations you have access to, chat, subscriptions, notifications, and keeping the service safe. We share data only with the providers that run the service for us (our cloud server host and Apple’s push notification service) or when the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in the app: My Account → Delete Account. This removes your account, profile and chat messages. DJs and rinks can ask us to delete their account at the email below. Server backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Children

SkateFM isn’t directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.
